The first session in the series will survey the beginnings of the Jewish presence in the Iranian realm, which spanned an uninterrupted period of over 2,500 years. It will explore the connections between Iranian Jewry and significant events and concepts of Jewish history, such as the Edict of Cyrus, the Book of Esther, the Babylonian Talmud, and the epic poetry of Shahin.
